Staring Into the Soul of My Television for Guidance is an audiovisual piece that projects abstract textures captured from 3DS recordings of a television screen’s pixel activity. These visuals are manipulated in post-processing and react dynamically to generative sound composed in a customized Max MSP patch.
The piece explores the act of observing fine details and finding meaning within abstraction. It reflects chaos and the ever-changing nature of life, with the glitching television pixels resembling cell morphology. This invasive quality mirrors how technology has become increasingly present in our everyday lives. Whether this presence is positive or negative is left for the viewer to interpret.
