Blender. Unreal Engine 5.
Bluehaven is a fictional neighbourhood created using a Blender-to-Unreal pipeline. All assets are modeled in Blender, textured using images sourced from Google Earth, and then imported into Unreal Engine 5 to transform the environment into a real-time 3D experience.
Barton, a lifelong resident of Bluehaven, recounts his final day in the neighbourhood that shaped him before leaving in search of new opportunities. In a heartfelt farewell, he reflects on both hardship and joy, portraying Bluehaven as a secluded yet resilient community. His story explores flow in three forms: the flow of circumstance, revealed in the community’s ability to adapt to shifting challenges; the flow between escapism and belonging, captured in the tension of leaving for a better life while remaining tied to home; and the flow of time and memory, where home becomes both a physical space and an emotional presence carried forward. As he departs, Barton holds onto the hope of returning one day to uplift the community that gave him so much.
